    Claude Opus 5.5 brought Garchomp,gholdengo,kingambit2,892 tok · 3.7 s · $0.0149

Plan: lead Garchomp (Mega for power/speed), with Gholdengo (Scarf revenge) and Kingambit (late cleaner, Sucker Punch) in the back. The opponent mirrors my roster. Watch for its Scarf Gholdengo, Dragonite Extreme Speed, and Rotom Will-O-Wisp. Track the opponent's bring and its move habits.

  2. Turn 1
    PokéChamp used Dragonclawmega
    Claude Opus 5.5 used Dragonclawmega3,946 tok · 12.6 s · $0.0271

Turn 1: Mega Dragon Claw into their Garchomp, likely a one-hit KO (rough estimate 178-210 damage). Speed tie possible at 169. Back line: Scarf Gholdengo revenges Dragonite or Volcarona. Kingambit with Sucker Punch cleans up late. Watch for their Scarf Gholdengo, Dragonite Extreme Speed, and Rotom Will-O-Wisp. Track what they bring.

    Reasoning trace (107 words)
I'm working out the mirror matchup math - since Mega Garchomp's base speed is 92, both sides tie at 169 speed with max investment, and I'm comparing Mega Atk stats to figure out how Dragon Claw damage would compare between the two.

Running the numbers, Mega Garchomp's Dragon Claw likely OHKOes regular Garchomp given the attack boost and STAB, putting it well above 185 HP. Gholdengo's scarf speed (149) isn't actually enough to outpace a maxed Garchomp, so I'm leaning toward going with Mega Garchomp despite the speed tie risk and potential Swords Dance from the opponent, accepting the Rough Skin chip damage as a tradeoff.

  3. Turn 2
    PokéChamp used Earthquake
    Claude Opus 5.5 used Dragonclaw4,022 tok · 8.8 s · $0.0273

Turn 2: Speed tie at 158 against their Mega Garchomp, which has 14% HP. I'm using Dragon Claw for the KO. Do not switch Kingambit into it, because Mega Chomp's Earthquake can nearly OHKO Kingambit. If my Chomp falls, Kingambit gains Supreme Overlord power. Scarf Gholdengo (149) is slower than their Mega Chomp. Watch for Dragonite Extreme Speed and Rotom Will-O-Wisp.

    Reasoning trace (56 words)
With both at low HP and a speed tie, I'm weighing attacking with Dragon Claw against switching to Kingambit, since their Garchomp's Dragon Claw would be resisted but Earthquake would hurt; Sucker Punch could finish it at 14%, though keeping my own Garchomp alive at low HP still has value as a fast threat later.

Their Mega Chomp (14%, Spe 158) killed my Chomp. Sending Scarf Gholdengo, which outspeeds at 223, to KO it, probably with Shadow Ball. After that, I can pivot as needed. Kingambit has 1 Overlord boost and Sucker Punch. Their back two are unknown, from Kingambit, Gholdengo, Dragonite, Rotom and Volcarona. Watch for Dragonite Extreme Speed and Rotom Will-O-Wisp.

    Reasoning trace (44 words)
Their Mega Garchomp is at 14% HP and my Gholdengo with Choice Scarf outspeeds it, so Make It Rain or Shadow Ball secures the KO before it can threaten back with Earthquake. Kingambit's Sucker Punch would also finish it off thanks to priority.

    Claude Opus 5.5 used Shadowball3,907 tok · 6.0 s · $0.0155

Their Mega Chomp (14%, Spe 158) killed my Chomp. My Scarf Gholdengo (223 Spe) KOs it with Shadow Ball, which avoids the Make It Rain SpA drop. Shadow Ball is my best lock against their Gholdengo, Dragonite and Rotom. Kingambit has Overlord +1 and Sucker Punch. Watch for Dragonite Extreme Speed, Rotom Will-O-Wisp and their Gholdengo.

    Reasoning trace (86 words)
With Choice Scarf, my Gholdengo at 223 speed outpaces their Garchomp sitting at low HP, so Shadow Ball should finish it off. I'm weighing locking into Shadow Ball versus Make It Rain since future threats like Kingambit resist both, Gholdengo is weak to Shadow Ball, and Dragonite takes Make It Rain neutrally.

Checking the remaining matchups, Rotom and Volcarona both resist Make It Rain more heavily than Shadow Ball, and sticking with Shadow Ball avoids any Special Attack drop, so that's the better overall choice.

Gholdengo is Scarf-locked into Shadow Ball, which their Kingambit resists, and their Kowtow Cleave likely KOs it. Swapping to my Kingambit, which resists Dark and Steel. Next turn, consider Swords Dance or Kowtow Cleave, and maybe a later Gholdengo Focus Blast to kill their Kingambit. Their last mon is unknown: Gholdengo, Dragonite, Rotom or Volcarona. Preserve Gholdengo for it.

    Reasoning trace (80 words)
Gholdengo's locked into Shadow Ball, which only chips at Kingambit, while their Kingambit at +1 Supreme Overlord hits back with a super-effective Kowtow Cleave, boosted further by a likely item modifier, dealing massive damage.

Switching into my own Kingambit seems safer since Kowtow Cleave is resisted on both sides, and my Focus Blast is locked out anyway. I'll preserve Gholdengo for later and keep their unrevealed fourth Pokémon in mind as I bring Kingambit in to reassess next turn.

Kingambit mirror. Their copy hits me for ~49 (24%) per Kowtow. Using SD, then Kowtow twice to win the race. Keep Gholdengo (Scarf, locked choice resets on switch) for their last mon: Gholdengo/Dragonite (Shadow Ball) or Rotom/Volcarona. Their Kowtow likely KOs Gholdengo. Watch for their Sucker Punch when I'm low.

    Reasoning trace (115 words)
This is a Kingambit mirror match with identical sets, so it comes down to sequencing. If I Swords Dance now I'd take their hit down to around 52%, then trade big hits afterward—I need to work out whether setting up first wins the damage race or just hands them the advantage.

Switching Gholdengo in is risky since Kowtow Cleave would hit it super effectively near 4x and likely KO it, so that's off the table. With speed tied, the bot might also Swords Dance or try Sucker Punch, which fails against a dance user, so committing to Swords Dance now still looks like the strongest line given both mons resist each other's coverage equally.

    PokéChamp used Kowtowcleave
    Claude Opus 5.5 used Kowtowcleave4,510 tok · 6.8 s · $0.0185

Kingambit mirror: my Kowtow at +2 does about 93-109 to their 207 HP, so two hits KO. Their Kowtow does about 49 to me, and I have 111 HP, so I win the race. Keep Scarf Gholdengo for their last mon (Shadow Ball for Gholdengo/Dragonite). Watch for their Sucker Punch.

    Reasoning trace (71 words)
I'm working out Kowtow Cleave's damage at +2, factoring in Supreme Overlord's 1.1x boost, Black Glasses, STAB, and the resisted multiplier, assuming their Kingambit mirrors my own build with 140 Def and 207 HP.

The math lands around 93-109 damage, meaning it takes two hits to knock them out while I survive their counterattacks (roughly 49 each), and with speed tied at 70, Kowtow Cleave twice is the winning line.

    Claude Opus 5.5 used Kowtowcleave4,661 tok · 9.7 s · $0.0203

Kingambit mirror: their copy has 70 Speed (a tie with mine) and does about 49 per Kowtow. My +2 Kowtow does about 45-53% to it. If it survives this turn, finish it next turn with priority Sucker Punch. Save Scarf Gholdengo for their last mon: Shadow Ball for Gholdengo/Dragonite; Rotom/Volcarona are unknown threats.

    Reasoning trace (114 words)
Their Kingambit is at 48% and since it's an exact mirror match, speed ties are likely at 70 speed with 207 HP each. My Kowtow's 52% damage last time should be close to a KO on their 48% HP, though it's not guaranteed given the range, and Sucker Punch would do less damage by comparison since they've been spamming Kowtow Cleave every turn.

Even worst case if they move first and I survive at 16 HP, I can still follow up with another Kowtow Cleave or finish with priority Sucker Punch next turn if they're low enough — so I'll go with Kowtow Cleave now since Sucker Punch alone wouldn't secure the KO.

Finishing their Kingambit with priority Sucker Punch. Then Scarf Gholdengo vs their last mon: Shadow Ball for Gholdengo/Dragonite, Make It Rain or Shadow Ball vs Rotom/Volcarona. My Kingambit (17 HP, +2) can also Sucker Punch to chip it. Their mons are exact copies of my builds.

    Reasoning trace (49 words)
With Kingambit at 17 HP against their 2%, I'm weighing Sucker Punch options—if they attack with Kowtow Cleave I win the speed race and KO, if we both Sucker Punch it's a 50/50 speed tie, but if they go for Swords Dance instead my Sucker Punch whiffs entirely.

    Claude Opus 5.5 used Suckerpunch5,042 tok · 10.6 s · $0.0253

Using Sucker Punch to break Dragonite's Multiscale (about 55% if it attacks). Then Scarf Gholdengo comes in for free and uses Make It Rain to finish (it does about 125 damage). If Dragonite set up with Dragon Dance, Gholdengo still goes for Make It Rain. Watch for Extreme Speed, which has higher priority than Sucker Punch.

    Reasoning trace (95 words)
I'm weighing whether Sucker Punch gets off first against Dragonite, which could be running Dragon Dance or Extreme Speed, and estimating the damage with our Kingambit's boosted attack, Supreme Overlord, and Black Glasses against Dragonite's likely defense.

Sucker Punch should break through Multiscale for roughly half Dragonite's health, but it likely still gets a kill on Kingambit if it has priority or already set up. As an alternative, I'm considering switching to Gholdengo to pressure Dragonite with Make It Rain or Shadow Ball instead, weighing whether that finishes the job after Multiscale is gone.

Final 1v1: my Scarf Gholdengo (full HP) vs their Dragonite (full HP, likely Multiscale). Gholdengo is immune to Extreme Speed. I'm locked into Shadow Ball: about 42 damage on the first hit, then about 84 per hit, so about a 3-turn KO. Watch for Earthquake or Fire Punch from Dragonite and note its other revealed moves.

    Reasoning trace (132 words)
Dragonite is likely at full HP with Multiscale active, and since Gholdengo is Ghost-type it's immune to Extreme Speed. I don't know Dragonite's full moveset since it wasn't on my team, but Earthquake, Fire Punch, and Dragon Dance seem probable. I'm calculating Make It Rain damage assuming Choice Specs or Scarf with 185 SpA.

Factoring in Multiscale halving damage, Make It Rain does roughly 62% per hit while SpA drops stack up, versus Shadow Ball doing around 42% then 84% over two turns—Shadow Ball actually ends up being better for securing the KO within three turns since it's not affected by stat drops. Trick could also be relevant since Gholdengo lacks Good as Gold protection against status moves, so locking Dragonite into a move via Choice item swap is worth considering.
